CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle non invasive hands on treatment used to relieve pain, stress and trauma in the body.
Using a soft touch the practitioner "listens" to the overall expression of the potency of cerebrospinal fluid throughout the central nervous system and releases any restrictions within the soft tissues, fluids and structures.The brain and spinal cord are of the most influential parts of the body for it to function synergistically, and the central nervous system is intrinsically influenced by the craniosacral system. The cerebrospinal fluid and membranes surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord. The membranes and fluid influences the central nervous system and it's movement and expression throughout the periphery of the body.
Daily our bodies endure stresses and strains that the body must work to compensate for. These stresses often cause our bodies' tissues to tighten thereby altering the craniosacral system, causing tension to form around the brain and spinal cord, resulting in restrictions and blockages. This in turn creates an imbalance in the healthy performance of the central nervous system and potentially, overall, every other system it interacts with because the body functions as a complete unit.
Fortunately, such restrictions can be detected and assisted using simple methods of touch. With a light touch, the CST practitioner uses his or her hands to evaluate the craniosacral system by gently feeling various locations ("listening") of the body to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord.
Different holds are then used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the craniosacral system. By "normalizing" the environment around the brain and spinal cord and enhancing the body's ability to self-correct, CranioSacral Therapy is potentially able to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions.

    Best Therapist for body trauma
    From the very first appointment I was made to feel safe. Evelyn is such an amazing gentle soul she holds you in a safe space while doing the therapy. I have been to her 3 times and the difference Evelyn has made in my life is amazing. I would truly recommend sacral cranial therapy to anyone who has experienced some form of trauma it works . Your body holds trauma and the way the therapy works to allow your body to release that trauma is unreal its amazing you can litreally feel your body letting go. I would highly recommend Evelyn to anyone.
