Having joined the Fellowship of Cardiothoracic Surgeons of South Africa (FC Cardio (SA)) in August 2010, Dr Murray Davidson has spent time in both the United States of America and Europe advancing his skills in both cardiac surgery and minimally invasive thoracic procedures.

Dr Murray Davidson performs all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery; but has a special interest in performing the following procedures:
• Total or All Arterial Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.
• Mitral Valve Repairs (or Replacements.)
• Bipolar, Biatrial CoxIII-Maze Procedures for the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation.
• Minimally Invasive Maze Procedures for Lone Atrial Fibrillation.
• Minimally Invasive (VATS) Lung Resections: Lobectomies / Pneumonectomies.
• Minimally Invasive (VATS) Resections of Mediastinal & Oesophageal Masses.
• Minimally Invasive (VATS) Decortication of the Lung or Pleurectomies.
• Belsey-Mark IV Procedure for Complicated Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease.

Dr Murray Davidson is a dedicated family man and is happily married to Mary-Anne. They have two children, Craig & Caydence. Away from work, Dr Davidson is a keen cyclist and mountain biker, and also enjoys hiking, sailing and the great outdoors.
