"I was referred to Mrs Ruth Katz by another therapist due to Ruth having had experience with deaf and hard of hearing people and as my daughter is deaf it suited us very well. I contacted Ruth as my daughter was very depressed and had issues that she could not work through on her own. My daughter's difficulty in communicating was quickly overcome as Ruth seemed to know exactly how to make herself understood and the counselling sessions went extraordinarily well. She responded very well to Ruth and opened up about quite difficult issues, which Ruth handled with the utmost care and professionalism. Ruth's counselling is not confined to a discussion only, it often involves very practical issues such as time keeping, shopping lists, quick meals, cleanliness etc. Ruth also visited my daughter at her home, and once again the counselling was of a very practical nature. From our first meeting, I was impressed at Ruth's quick grasp of our situation, problems and various issues. Ruth's many years of experience shows in so many ways, she has a remarkable understanding of the human condition, she's quick and insightful. Her level of interest in us was quite extraordinary as was her empathy and professionalism. She's empathic, caring and goes not only the extra mile, but an extra 100 miles.
